MODA is a fresh entrant in Chicago's nightlife scene, arriving in the happening River North district with fashion, style and fun in the mind. As much as fashionista cause as a business concern, creator Roman Sanchez has engineered a club concept that subtly showcases the latest trends in fashion and style in late-night club environs. MODA is a fashion-forward, A-list club where the average paying customer (23 and older, please) is usually just as hot and bothered (and dressed to the hilt) as the celebrities that breeze in through the always stretching-around-the-corner live at the door.
Four flat-screen plasma televisions broadcasting constant runway action to a crowd that is more then a littler interested in fashion. After all, that's the whole point of a club that has names like Prada, Gucci, Calvin Klient Dolce & Gabbana and Ralph Lauren illuminated on the walls and sported by the patrons and club employees alike. When it comes to the music, tuns get professionally spun from within the state-of-the-art DJ booth.
Warm and appealing, it hasn't taken long for the club garner a dedicated following of beautiful people - professional athletes, rock stays and models. "If you're into fashion, it doesn't get more comfortable or fun than this", says owner Roman Sanchez, who designed the club himself, right down to the stitching of the custom-made leather couches. "However, there is a bigger picture here", says Sanchez". I want to see the fashion scene in Chicago on a level with that of New York, Paris and London. And I think that lounges, restaurants and clubs are all a significant part of the fashion industry, so we've dedicated MODA to the world of fashion," says Sanchez, who looks like he just stepped out of a Milan review en route to the states via the Concorde. "We want to give Chicago's fashion scene a little extra spice and make this city more cosmopolitan than ever"
